General Surgery Residency-Preliminary Position

Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center General Surgery Residency Program is seeking to fill a Preliminary PGY-2 resident position starting July 1, 2022. Orientation starts late June 2022.

Prerequisites:

To be eligible for this Preliminary PGY-2 position, the applicant must be in good standing and successfully completed PGY-1 or PGY-2 in an ACGME accredited General Surgery program by the start date.

• Letter of recommendation from your most recent Program Director, and 2 additional letters of recommendation from faculty surgeons

• ABSITE score reports from all years of training
• ACGME Defined Category Case Log Report
• List of completed rotations
• USLME Transcript (a first-time pass on Steps 1 and 2 exams is required)
• Medical school transcript and diploma
• FLS and/or FES certification (if completed)
• ECFMG certificate (if applicable)
