Burn Fellowship

Burn Fellowship

The Connecticut Burn Center in Bridgeport, Connecticut welcomes applications for a one-year clinical burn fellowship to begin July 1, 2023.

We are the burn care resource for the state of Connecticut, and in addition to adult patients, we treat a substantial number of pediatric burns, complex wounds, and necrotizing soft tissue infections as well. Our nine-bed, renovated burn unit offers state-of-the-art facilities and a well-integrated, energized team dedicated to the total care of the burn patient.

The burn fellow plays a pivotal role in the burn unit, and over the year will be expected to master all aspects of care of the burn patient, from initial management, including critical care, through to excision and grafting of burns and on to reconstruction. The fellow will also engage in education of students and surgical residents as well as in ongoing clinical research in burns.

Prerequisites:

Applicants must have completed at least PGY-2 in surgical training at an accredited general surgery residency. Unfortunately, we are not able to sponsor visas.

How To Apply:

Interested applicants should send their current CV, USMLE & ABSITE scores, and 3 current letters of recommendation to Pamela Nelson (email below)
