Cardiopulmonary Pathology Fellowship

Led by director Andre L. Moreira, MD, PhD. Opens in a new tab, NYU Langone’s Department of Pathology offers a 48-week post-residency fellowship position in cardiopulmonary pathology. This fellowship is not accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).

Cardiopulmonary pathology fellows are trained in diagnostic cardiothoracic pathology and gain an understanding of molecular pathology techniques. In addition, our pathologists provide extensive research training in cardiothoracic pathology.

Prerequisites:

Applicants must have completed a three-year anatomic pathology residency program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or a four-year anatomic pathology and clinical pathology residency program accredited by the ACGME.

You must obtain a New York State license or limited permit before the fellowship start date, and possess sufficient qualifications for appointment to the medical staff.

NYU Langone offers J-1 visas to candidates in need of sponsorship exclusively through the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates® (ECFMG®).
