Burn Surgery Fellowship

For three decades, the nationally acclaimed William Randolph Hearst Burn Center at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center has been setting the standard for excellence in burn care.

With admissions greater than 800 a year, the Burn Center is known not only for providing the highest level of medical care but for its compassionate patient care as well.

Individuals accepted into Weill Cornell Medicine’s burn surgery fellowship program train under highly-skilled surgeons at the top of their field while gaining exposure to a wide range of clinical and emergency situations.

Fellows are also responsible for the surgical critical care of all burn injured patients, supervising medical students and residents, education, and participation in clinical research protocols.

Weill Cornell Medicine offers two burn surgery fellowships each academic year.

Prerequisites:

Candidates should be board-eligible in General Surgery with a minimum of three years of general surgery residency. A New York state license is required upon acceptance of the position. If applicable, the GME only accepts J-1 Visas. Salary and benefits are competitive.
