Robotic Surgery MIS Fellowship Position: The division General Surgery at Good Samaritan Medical Center is seeking qualified individuals to apply for a funded 1 -year clinical fellowship position in the Department of Surgery, under the direction of Dr. Kudsi. The Fellowship position is expected to begin Fall 2021.

The general surgery Clinical Fellowship Program at Good Samaritan Medical Center (GSMC) was initiated in 2018. The program currently has two full-time research fellows and one clinical robotic fellow. The clinical fellowship is mainly focused on robotic surgery with an average number of 400 robotic cases per year. The fellowship is mainly focused on extraperitoneal abdominal wall reconstruction (>60%) with the remaining on Foregut , Colorectal, Biliary, and Acute Surgery. The fellow will be part of a 24/7 robotic surgery team, exposed to how to build and sustain a busy robotic general surgery program. The fellow will be taking an attending level call and will be be closely mentored by the program director with emphasis on transition to practice. The clinical fellow will work closely with robotic surgeons, research fellow and a senior researcher.

An established infrastructure on robotic surgery research is already in place with a dedicated databank and established collaborations with other institutions. The fellow will also be required to submit abstract for presentation at national and international meetings. This is an amazing opportunity to work and live in Greater Boston area.

Prerequisites:

Requirement: Board Eligible / Board Certified Ability to Obtain Full Massachusetts Medical License (We don’t sponsor Visas)
