Orofacial Pain Residency

The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) at Massachusetts General Hospital offers a two-year Orofacial Pain Residency program. This program provides advanced training in orofacial pain, headache disorders and dental sleep medicine. The program consists of clinical training with program faculty and elective rotations through various related departments, including:

Clinical training is supplemented by a comprehensive didactic program. Teaching opportunities at Mass General and Harvard School of Dental Medicine will also be available.

Prerequisites:

Applicants should be a:

  • Graduate of an accredited US or Canadian dental school. Applicants with a degree from a foreign dental school will be considered based upon their transcripts, curriculum vitae, training, acceptable TOEFL score and a personal interview
  • Citizen of the United States, non-citizen resident or foreign national having in his/her possession a visa permitting temporary status in the United States and educational licensure
  • Massachusetts Dental License or equivalent temporary/intern license holder
