We have an unexpected opportunity for a graduating resident to start with us in Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship starting this July 2020.
Our program consists of 9 fellows and 21 faculty who are committed to teaching, supervising and research. This is evidenced by the large number of abstracts presented and manuscripts authored by our fellows, by the high degree of satisfaction with the program our fellows attest to, and by the academic positions our graduates are obtaining in the best institutions around the country. In addition, we have a dedicated research grant to support fellow research and a strong education program for all subspecialty fellows to foster collaboration and teach topics common to all areas of Pediatrics. We have an active Global Health Care Program in the Dominican Republic ongoing since 2003 where our fellows participate in trips to provide care for children with heart disease with interventional cardiac catheterizations and heart surgeries. They report these experiences are a highlight of their senior year of training which then culminates in a month of “acting” attending as a final preparation for graduation.
