Orthopedic Surgery Residency Position

The University of California, Davis in Sacramento, CA has an orthopaedic surgery PGY-2 opening in its 5-year categorical program, to start July 1, 2020.

Prerequisites:

Qualified applicants must be in good academic standing in an ACGME accredited program and will have completed their PGY-1 surgical or orthopaedic surgery internship year by June 30, 2020. Applicants must also be eligible to apply for an unrestricted California medical license after completing 36 months of ACGME accredited training (24 months completed in the same program).

Interested candidates should submit the following documents:

  • Current CV
  • Copy of medical school transcript
  • Personal statement including reason for leaving current program and research interests
  • ACGME operative case log to date
  • Copy of PGY-1 block schedule, including rotation descriptions and dates milestone evaluation summaries
  • Recommendation letter from current program director verifying current standing in the program
  • Two additional letters of recommendation from faculty in current program
