Breast Imaging and Abdominal Imaging Fellowship

We are currently accepting applications for fellowship position in the Department of Radiological Sciences at the University of California, Irvine Medical Center, for the academic year 2021-22.

This one year fellowship will consist of six months of training in Breast Imaging and six months of training in Abdominal Imaging.

The six (6) Abdominal Imaging training months will have an emphasis on cross-sectional abdominal imaging and coordinated experience in CT, Ultrasound, MRI and image guided procedures. We provide an optimal combination of high volume of advanced imaging, case variety, and academic and research time, to produce experts in the field of Abdominal Imaging. The fellow will participate in Ultrasound guided procedures and will gain vast experience in vascular Ultrasound.

The six (6) Breast Imaging months will be similar to the existing 12-month training program for dedicated breast imaging fellows. This training includes screening and diagnostic mammography (2D and 3D), breast ultrasound, and breast MRI, as well as multi-modality image-guided breast interventional procedures, including stereotactic, ultrasound guided and MRI guided biopsies, as well as needle/wire and Savi Scout localizations.
