Pediatric Dermatology Fellowship Position

Pediatric Dermatology Fellowship Position

The Pediatric Dermatology Fellowship Training Program at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago/Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (“Lurie Children’s”) is now accepting applications from board-eligible or board-certified pediatricians for a one year fellowship program in pediatric dermatology.

The Pediatric Dermatology Fellowship Training Program at Lurie Children’s, the first certified program in the country, aims to train physicians in all aspects of the field, including clinical care, research, scholarly activity, teaching and administration. With exposure to our 8 nationally- and internationally-recognized faculty, a physician completing this program will be capable of providing superb outpatient care and inpatient consultative services for children of all ages with skin disorders. Fellows are also trained in pediatric dermatological surgery, pulsed dye laser therapy, and the education of students, residents and primary health care providers. Prerequisites:

Training in pediatric dermatology typically requires board-certification or board-eligibility in dermatology. Given low numbers in the pediatric dermatology fellowship application pool nationally, we now open our program vacancies, when available, to applicants who have completed pediatrics training (but not dermatology) and wish to gain more experience and competence in this exciting field. Although training will not qualify the pediatrician trainee for board certification in pediatric dermatology, this paid experience is ideal for those who desire to be more competent in treating skin disorders, and those who plan on practicing in rural settings where referral for specialty care may be challenging. Salary will be commensurate with your postgraduate year of training. A generous medical and dental healthcare package is included, with an optional vision plan.

How To Apply:

If interested, please contact Anthony J. Mancini, MD, division head and program director, at [email protected], or Melissa Jones, program coordinator, at [email protected].
