Pediatrics Residency Position

Pediatrics Residency Position

We are looking for our next amazing team member! The Herman & Walter Samuelson Children's Hospital at Sinai has an opening for a PGY-2 resident in the 2020/2021 academic year starting in July 2020.

Sinai Hospital of Baltimore is an academic community hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. The Pediatrics Residency Program is one of seven: Internal Medicine, Surgery, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Ophthalmology, Obstetrics & Gynecology, and our newest addition Orthopedic Surgery. Sinai Hospital is part of Lifebridge Health, and serves as a referral center for hospitals in Maryland within and beyond Lifebridge.

Our pediatric residents are trained directly by dedicated faculty who literally take them under their wings; there are no fellows. There is a strong focus on leadership, patient safety/quality improvement, wellness and family-centered care. Our residents match into top fellowship programs and are able to attain jobs of their choice. We are located in Baltimore, a large urban center on the east coast within a few hours drive to other major cities like Washtington DC, Philadelphia and New York City. We have affiliations with Johns Hopkins Hospital, Kennedy Krieger Institute, University of Maryland and Georgetown Hospital that give our residents additional opportunities for individualized curriculum experiences, teaching medical students, and research.

Special features of our curriculum include global health opportunities, required scholarly project, simulation center with multidisciplinary learning activities, board prep curriculum, required patient safety project, financial support for global health & scholarly activity, and a wellness focus for residents and faculty. We are a close-knit and very supportive program that works hard to promote academic success for all our learners.
