General Surgery Residency - Categorical Position

Icahn School of Medical at Mount Sinai (South Nassau) General Surgery Residency has an opportunity for categorical PGY-3 position in General Surgery starting 7/1/2021. Submissions will be accepted via email only.

Prerequisites:

Qualified applicants must have completed a PGY-1 and PGY-2 in good standing at an ACGME-accredited surgery residency program. Applicants must be U.S. Citizens or a Permanent Resident. We do not sponsor H1 or J1 Visas.

  1. Current Curriculum Vitae (CV) Including where PGY 1 & PGY 2 years were completed,
  2. Personal Statement,
  3. USMLE Transcript (Step I, Step II CS & CK) with a minimum score of 215,
  4. Three current letters of recommendation, one of which must be from the current Program Director,
  5. Medical School transcript,
  6. MSPE (Dean’s letter),
  7. Summative (end of rotation and 6-month) evaluation reports from current training program,
  8. Rotation schedule from PGY 1 & PGY 2 years,
  9. ACGME Milestone reports,
  10. ACGME Case Logs (Defined Category, General Surgery Year 2 Minimum & Critical Care Reports), ACLS, BLS, ATLS, FLS, FES Certifications,
  11. All ABSITE Scores, ECFMG Certificate, if applicable
