Pediatric Surgery Research Fellowship

This is a 1 year clinical research fellowship working with the Division of Pediatric Surgery at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta (part of the Emory University Department of Surgery).

The opportunity involves participation in a variety of clinical projects related to pediatric surgical outcomes, quality improvement, health equity, and trauma.

This position would entail taking senior pediatric surgery call approximately every 5th day. It is ideal for an individual interested in future pediatric surgical fellowship training.

There is an opportunity to spend more specialized clinical time doing pediatric ECMO as part of the 1 year experience.

The position includes a salary commensurate to the PGY level including full benefits.

Prerequisites:

• Completion of at least three years of postgraduate surgical training in an ACGME-accredited general surgery program.
• United States or Canadian citizen, national or permanent resident of the United States or Canada.

Start date July or August 2023.
