Public Psychiatry Fellowship

Public Psychiatry Fellowship

The mission of the UCSF Public Psychiatry Fellowship at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital is to train the next generation of public mental health care leaders who will provide excellent patient-centered care to vulnerable populations with severe mental illness through:

  1. understanding and implementing relevant, evidence-based psychosocial rehabilitation and psychopharmacological treatments,
  2. promoting recovery,
  3. developing rewarding public-academic partnerships to examine their work.

The UCSF Public Psychiatry Fellowship at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital aims to promote a culture of patient-centered care and data-driven public-academic partnerships within public mental health care so that people with severe mental illness in San Francisco County receive the highest quality care possible.
