Cardiothoracic Imaging Fellowship

Our University of Miami/Jackson Health System Cardiothoracic Imaging Fellowship offers a one year, non-ACGME accredited fellowship as part of the University of Miami’s Department of Diagnostic Radiology.

This diagnostic radiology cardiothoracic imaging fellowship is designed to enhance the radiologist’s knowledge of cardiac diseases and proficiency in computerized tomography and magnetic resonance imaging as primary imaging tools. The graduate will be subspecialized and able to work independently in planning imaging protocols and interpreting and diagnosing cardiac disease in order to deliver excellence in patient care.

Prerequisites:

Medical Licensing Examination:
All applicants must successfully complete Step 1 and Step 2 Clinical Knowledge and Step 2 Clinical Skills of the United States Medical Licensing Examination prior to acceptance into the program. Applicants must also be eligible for Step 3, prior to acceptance.

Foreign medical graduates are required to have the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates certification.

Postgraduate Training:
There is postgraduate training required in the form of a successfully completed four-year residency program in diagnostic radiology.

Applications are accepted from July 1 to October 31 (18 to 24 months prior to the projected start date). Interviews are held from October to December.
