The Pediatrics Residency Program at John H. Stroger Hospital of Cook County in Chicago has an opening for a PGY4 Chief Resident Position for the academic year 2020-2021.
The Chief Resident participates in a unique educational experience. He/she will be developing lecturing and bedside teaching skills during this year and have other administrative responsibilities like scheduling residents rotations, communication with the housestaff, etc. Responsibilities will include clinical supervision of residents and ancillary staff as a junior attending.
Our Residency Program was first accredited by the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) in 1927, and we continue to offer high quality pediatric education to residents. John H. Stroger Hospital is the only public safety net hospital in the city of Chicago, IL, and the Department of Pediatrics provides general and subspecialty care to all infants, children, adolescents and young adults without regard for the ability to pay.
