General Surgery Residency-Preliminary Position

Loma Linda University Health in the City of Loma Linda in Southern California is seeking to fill a Preliminary PGY-2 resident position in General Surgery beginning July 1, 2021.

Prerequisites:

To be eligible for this PGY-2 position, the applicant must:

1. be currently enrolled in an ACGME-accredited General Surgery program,
2. will have successfully completed a PGY-1 year of General Surgery training by June 30, 2021, and
3. be in good standing. No unaccredited fellowship or foreign training will be accepted in lieu of this. We do not sponsor H1B visas.

2. USMLE scores transcript (Step 1-3)
3. ABSITE score summary
4. Three current letters of recommendation, one of which must be from current Program Director
5. Medical School transcript, diploma, and Dean's letter
6. List of previously completed rotations with summative evaluation

Please note that the Medical Board of CA now mandates a Postgraduate Training License which requires a minimum of 24 months in the same program within 36 months of training to obtain a full license.
