Clinical Fellowship in Pediatric Cardiac MRI

The Pediatric Cardiac MRI Lab within the Division of Pediatric Cardiology in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School is offering a one-year paid clinical fellowship in pediatric cardiac MRI.

Dates of advertised fellowship will be from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025. Our program runs a dedicated cardiac scanner at Children’s Health Dallas. Last year we performed over 900 cardiac MRI procedures and over 400 cardiac CT procedures.

This includes:

• adult & pediatric congenital heart disease imaging
• stress imaging, coronary CT imaging in coronary vasculopathy
• lymphatic imaging
• iron load imaging
• MRI-guided cardiac catheterization
• whole-body angiography
• functional ‘4D’ CT angiography
• ‘4D-Flow’ MRI for clinical evaluation
• 3D printing; 3D Virtual reality device fitting and overlay of CT/MRI reconstructions for catheterization guidance in the catheterization lab

Prerequisites:

Applicants must have US or international training in pediatric cardiology or pediatric radiology . Application deadline is July 31, 2023.
