Burn Fellowship

Burn Fellowship

The Stanley M. Levenson, MD Burn Center of Jacobi Medical Center is seeking clinical post graduate trainees for its burn fellowship program beginning July 1, 2021. Jacobi Medical Center is the burn referral center for New York City Health and Hospitals and a major affiliate of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Clinical responsibilities of the fellows include managing burn ICU patients, assisting in the O.R., staffing burn, plastics, and hand clinics, covering the emergency department, and teaching residents and medical students. Research is encouraged. As the burn service functions under the auspices of the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, there necessarily is a heavy plastic and reconstructive surgical component to this comprehensive program. It is ideally suited for clinical post graduate trainees preparing for careers in plastic and reconstructive surgery or general surgery.

Prerequisites:

Completion of no less than PGY 1 and PGY 2 in an ACGME approved general surgery program is a prerequisite for consideration. Board eligibility in general surgery is recognized as a particularly positive achievement. VISA sponsorship is available.

How To Apply:

For consideration please forward letter of inquiry and CV to:
