Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship Position

Very friendly team of interdisciplinary professionals. This position is primarily located at our Regional Veterans Affairs Hospital, located in Reno, NV. Our ACGME-accredited Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship Program provides comprehensive subspecialty training for graduates of internal medicine, family medicine emergency medicine, psychiatry, neurology, gynecology, surgical specialties or pediatrics. The fellowship offers a methodically developed, comprehensive core curriculum that will prepare our fellows academically and clinically. The small class size (1-3) offers a uniquely personalized learning experience with a high volume of clinical exposure and balanced training to meet important training goals and objectives for training subspecialists. ACGME BASED.

Prerequisites:

Acceptance into the program requires graduation from a medical school approved by the Council on Graduate Medical Education of the AMA. Foreign graduates must have a standard ECFMG certificates and be eligible for permanent immigrant status as well as for licensure in Nevada. Completion of a 3 years residency prior to fellowship is required.

In addition to a completed application form, a personal statement detailing your interest in hospice and palliative medicine, three letters of recommendation including one from the director of your residency program, scores from USMLE, curriculum vitae, and visa status form (if applicable) are required.
