Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship

The Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship at the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles has an unexpected opening for a second or third-year fellow position starting July 2023.

The Pediatric Cardiology fellowship at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) is a three-year ACGME accredited program with the goal of training physicians to become academic leaders in pediatric cardiology. We are fortunate to serve a racially and economically diverse community in Los Angeles providing trainees with exposure to a wide range of cardiac diseases, varying medical complexities and an understanding of the psychosocial and economic impact on physical illness.

We are a large tertiary care center with cardiac surgical volumes of 800-900 cases/year, dedicated Cardiac ICU and CV Acute wards. We recently increased our ACGME fellowship class to 4 fellows/year starting July 2023.

Prerequisites:

1. has successfully completed at least one year of Pediatric Cardiology training in good standing at an ACGME accredited program. -California medical license preferred.
2. has excellent interpersonal communication skills.
3. demonstrates commitment to caring for the underserved.
