EM Administrative Fellowship

We are currently recruiting for a fellow to join us in July 2024!

During our new two-year fellowship, the candidate will complete the MBA Program for Executives at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and a clinical Emergency Medicine Administrative Fellowship. In addition, the candidate will play an active role in the Clinical Operations leadership of the Emergency Department of the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. The candidate will also work clinically as an attending physician (Clinical Instructor) in the HUP ED.

Post-residency Emergency Medicine trained physicians who aspire to administrative and operational leadership positions in academic or private practice.

Prerequisites:

• Candidates will have completed an ABEM-accredited residency in emergency medicine and be board certified/board eligible.
• The candidate must complete the Wharton MBA for Executives application process including a recent GMAT or GRE score (less than 5 years old) or the Executive Assessment for those with more than 10 years of work experience. The HUP ED will supply your sponsorship letter.

How To Apply:

As part of the Fellowship application, the candidate will submit a cover letter, CV, and 4 letters of recommendation, at least one of which must come from an academic/administrative mentor who can attest to the candidate’s leadership potential in ED administration and operations.
