General Surgery Residency -Categorical Position

UMMS-Baystate General Surgery Residency Program, Springfield, MA, has an opening for a PGY-3 Categorical resident position to start in July 2021.

Prerequisites:

Interested candidates must have 2 completed full years of ACGME approved Residency Training.

Application must include the following:

• Current C.V.,
• Copy of Medical School Diploma,
• Transcript, and MSPE,
• USMLE scores Step I, II, and III,
• ABSITE scores and report for all years of training completed,
• Current ACGME Defined Category Operative Report (which must include at least a minimum of 250 cases per ABS requirements),
• List of previously completed rotations (block schedule),
• Competency based evaluations for PGY 1 and PGY 2 years,
• Three current letters of recommendation, one of which must be from current Program Director,
• FLS and FES certifications if applicable,
• Proof of current US citizenship, valid green card, or J-1 Visa,
• Current ECFMG Certificate if applicable.
