General Surgery Residency-Categorical Position

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple, TX is seeking a PGY-3 categorical general surgery resident to begin on July 1, 2021. This is to fill for a resident departing for research related activities.

This is a categorical position in our five-year general surgery residency and preliminary residents are expected to apply; we will not interview categorical residents from other programs without expressed permission of your current program director. The position is supported and funded by Baylor Scott & White. Salary and benefits will be shared with applicants as requested.

Prerequisites:

All applicants must have completed PGY-1 and PGY-2 general surgery training years in good standing.

  1. Current CV/MyERAS application
  2. Medical school diploma
  3. Medical school transcript
  4. MSPE
  5. USMLE Transcript (a first-time pass on exams is required)
  6. Personal statement
  7. ECFMG certificate (if applicable)
  8. 3 letters of recommendation - 1 from current Program Director
  9. Defined Category Case Log
  10. ABSITE Scores from previous years of training
