The one-year Accreditation Council for Graduate Medic al Education (ACGME)-accredited fellowship program combines diagnostic pathology education with opportunities for research and teaching and is designed to ensure the fellow acquires the necessary medical knowledge, diagnostic skills and experience to practice as a subspecialty expert in gynecologic, placental and perinatal pathology, to understand the management impact of pathology reports on patient care, to gain research experience and skills to develop a successful academic career, and to become an outstanding educator for fellow pathologists, clinicians and researchers in the field.

Applicants must be board-eligible in anatomic pathology (AP), clinical pathology (CP) or AP/CP as appropriate, and licensed to practice medicine in the state of California by the time their fellowship begins. Find more information at California Medical License Information.
