The Breast/GYN Pathology Fellowship at the University of Rochester Medical Center is a one year program that provides a thorough exposure to diagnostic breast and gynecologic surgical pathology as well as multidisciplinary management of breast and gynecologic disease.
The department signs out approximately 5,000 in-house breast cases, 750 breast consult cases, 13,000 in-house gynecologic cases, and 450 gynecologic consult case yearly. The main objective of the program is to provide the fellow with proficient diagnostic skills, in-depth understanding of the implications of pathologic diagnoses in the management of breast and gynecologic cancer patients, and a unique translational research experience.

Applicants must be on track to complete an accredited pathology residency program (either three-year AP-only or four-year AP/CP) and be board eligible/certified. Prior fellowship training is not a prerequisite.
