Breast Imaging Fellowship

This is a one-year fellowship with single clinical rotation in the UAMS Breast Center, encompassing the complete spectrum of breast imaging: digital diagnostic and screening mammography with computer aided detection (CAD), breast ultrasound, needle localization, cyst aspiration, core biopsy (stereotactic, MRI and ultrasound guided), and breast MRI.

The fellow is part of a multidisciplinary team of breast surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists and plastic surgeons. All surgical and complicated cases are reviewed with this group at a weekly multi-disciplinary breast conference.

Prerequisites:

ABR-certified or eligible or more than one year ACGME-training and prior experience deemed suitable by the program director; USMLE Steps 1-3.

How To Apply:

Qualified candidates for programs that do not participate in the Residency Match should submit the following:

• a completed Universal Application form with a current CV,
• a personal statement of career goals and professional plans,
• a USMLE transcript (all scores).

We require three letters of recommendation from current and former clinical faculty. One letter must be from your program director and all should be recently dated and on institutional letterhead. If you have been in private practice for five or more years, however, non-partner physician letters are acceptable.
