General Surgery Residency

The General Surgery Residency Program at the University of California, Irvine has an open PGY-4 position to begin on June 23, 2021. Training must have taken place in no more than two programs.

Prerequisites:

The qualified candidate must have successfully completed three years of surgical residency from an ACGME-accredited program by June 22, 2021.

  1. Current curriculum vitae (inclusive of explanation of any break in training),
  2. Personal statement,
  3. Medical school transcript & dean’s letter,
  4. Medical school diploma,
  5. USMLE transcript (Step 1, 2, and 3),
  6. ABSITE reports for all years of training,
  7. Current ACGME defined category and minimum report,
  8. Annual competency-based summative evaluation for all years of training,
  9. List of completed rotations for all years of training,
  10. ACLS, ATLS certificates,
  11. FLS, FES certificates (if applicable),
  12. ECFMG certificate (if applicable),
  13. 3 current letters of recommendation, to include letter from Program Director and Chair, US citizenship, green cards or J-1 visa status.
