Body Imaging Fellowship

Body Imaging Fellowship

The University of South Florida Department of Radiology offers a 1-year non-accredited Body Imaging Fellowship and is now accepting applications for the 2022-2023 academic year. This fellowship includes Body MR, computer tomography, diagnostic ultrasound, and CT/ultrasound guided interventional procedures at Tampa General Hospital (TGH). Body fellows will rotate at H. L. Moffitt Cancer Center, a Top 10 cancer center in the country. While at Moffitt, the fellows will have the opportunity to participate in the care of oncology patients and follow-up on a wide variety of cancer types and treatment, including clinical trials. Fellows will be exposed to a wide variety of dedicated imaging protocols tailored to optimize cancer detection and surveillance and participate in multiple high level multidisciplinary/Tumor boards discussions. In addition to the clinical modalities (MRI, CT, SPECT/CT, PET/CT, ultrasound, and hyperpolarizer). Moffitt also has an animal imaging facility for pre-clinical research equipped with a super computer dedicated to quantitative analysis of clinical radiology images including “radiomics” and spatially-explicit (“habitat”) metrics.

The Body Imaging fellowship focuses on establishing clinical expertise in advanced body imaging and interventional procedures. The program is based at Tampa General Hospital and H. L. Moffitt Cancer Center. TGH has over 1000 beds and offers every specialty, busy transplant service, and a level 1 trauma center.
