Medical Toxicology Fellowship

Northwell Health offers a Fellowship in Medical Toxicology at North Shore University Hospital & Long Island Jewish Medical Center (NS/LIJ). This comprehensive two-year program in the Department of Emergency Medicine is geared toward training fellows in the academic and clinical aspects of toxicology and pharmacology and is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).

The Fellowship in Medical Toxicology at NS/LIJ provides fellows with the opportunity to learn from some of the world’s leading toxicology experts in a well-rounded, robust learning environment at one of the top teaching hospitals in the Northeast. Medical toxicology fellows enjoy broad exposure to all aspects of medical toxicology in order to be well-prepared for their future career and the successful completion of the medical toxicology board exam.

Prerequisites:

The successful applicant will have satisfactorily completed residency training at an ACGME accredited program and have an interest in medical toxicology.

Applications for a medical toxicology fellowship are accepted for applicants who have successfully trained in pediatrics, internal medicine, or emergency medicine. The American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) has approved medical toxicology as an official subspecialty of the above primary specialties.

Applicants interested in the medical toxicology training program at Northwell Health should download our paper application. We begin accepting applications in July.

No applications are reviewed after Oct. 30.

  • Dean’s letter
  • Two (2) letters of recommendation
  • ECFMG Status Report, if applicable
