The Department of Neurosurgery at North Shore University Hospital offers a one-year fellowship for postgraduate residency applicants and senior neurosurgical residents, matriculating in ACGME-approved U.S. neurosurgery residency programs, who are interested in an enfolded fellowship.
The fellow is involved with every single case (both emergent and elective) of cerebrovascular neurosurgery that comes into our institution and is responsible for review of history and physicals, radiographic (CT, MRI/MRA, CTA, angiogram) reviews, case formulation, and post-intervention ICU and floor follow-up.
The fellow scrubs on every operative case in open vascular, skull base and endoscopic skull base, and is responsible for supervised opening, closing and microsurgery during the critical aspects of each case. The fellow is responsible for video recording each case and subsequent editing for conference presentation. Additionally, he or she participates in an outpatient cerebrovascular/skull base clinic.
For more information about the program, kindly visit https://professionals.northwel...
Applications will be accepted September through March.
Please submit a letter of interest, your curriculum vitae and a letter of recommendation from your residency training program director to Amir Dehdashti, MD at [email protected].
