Pediatric Pulmonology Fellowship Position

The NYU Winthrop Hospital Pediatric Pulmonology Fellowship training program in Mineola, New York is accepting applications for a first year fellow to begin on July 2020.

The fellows of the Pediatric Pulmonary Division play an integral part in the care of infants and children with pulmonary disorders at NYU Winthrop Hospital. They are involved in the diagnosis and management of children with a vast array of respiratory diseases in the intensive care units, the general pediatric units, and in our outpatient offices.

The fellows actively participate in the education of the pediatric residents and medical students in both structured didactic sessions as well as informal patient discussions. The Pediatric Pulmonary fellows work closely with the gastroenterologists, neonatologists, allergy/immunologists, surgeons as well as the general pediatricians in a multidisciplinary setting. Fellows will have a minimal total of 6 months of clinical experience at NYU in Manhattan mainly focusing on Cystic Fibrosis management. They are involved in both clinical or bench research during their fellowship training as well as several QI projects.

The fellowship program is a 3-year, ACGME-accredited program. Fellows who complete the program will meet the requirements for board certification in Pediatric Pulmonology through the American Board of Pediatrics.
