General Surgery Residency-Preliminary Position

The Department of Surgery, at University of Rochester has an open Preliminary PGY 2 position to start on June 25, 2022.

Prerequisites:

All applicants must be a current PGY-1 general surgery resident in good standing in an ACGME-accredited residency. Candidates selected for an interview will be contacted when all application materials are received.

• Medical school transcript
• MSPE (Dean's letter)
• USMLE Transcript (a first-time pass on both exams is required)
• Personal statement o ECFMG certificate (if applicable)
• Milestones evaluation reports from current program
• Defined Category Case Log Report
• 3 letters of recommendation - 1 from current Program Director– can be sent as separate files
• ABSITE Score Reports
• A List of all rotations completed during PGY 1
• Summative Competency-Based Performance Evaluation completed by Program Director, o IMG¹s must provide copy of valid ECFMG certification ¬ We accept J-1 visas only.
