Pediatric Pathology Fellowship

The mission of our program is to provide high-quality training in pediatric and perinatal pathology in a collegial and supportive professional environment. Our aim is to train pediatric pathologists who are competent to practice independently in any setting, whether a large academic medical center or a small community hospital.

The University of Miami/Jackson Health System Pediatric Pathology Fellowship Program, offered through Holtz Children’s Hospital, offers a one or two-year, ACGME-approved training program in pediatric and perinatal pathology, qualifying the applicant for the American Board of Pathology – Pediatric Pathology (the additional second year can be negotiated with program application and tailored according to the applicants interests; however, only one year of fellowship is required for board eligibility).

Prerequisites:

Medical Licensing Examination:
All applicants must successfully complete United States Medical Licensing Examination Steps 1, 2 and 3 prior to the start of the program.

Postgraduate Training:
There is postgraduate training required in the form of a successfully completed residency program in pathology.
