Fellowship in Medical Education and Simulation

At the University of Tennessee Center for Advanced Medical Simulation, we are dedicated to training fellows who aspire to become international leaders in medical education, simulation, and simulation-based research.

Through this fellowship, graduates will be equipped with the teaching skills essential to becoming an outstanding adult educator with business and leadership skills to navigate the administrative needs of a simulation center. In addition, the fellow will develop an ability to design and implement simulation and research programs that will contribute to future academic endeavors, creativity, and excellent patient care.

One and two-year fellowship options are available. The two-year fellowship option will involve taking classes from the University of Tennessee College of Education and will lead to a Master’s Degree in Education.

Prerequisites:

The applicant should have completed at least two years of an MD/DO residency program or an advanced degree equivalent (Masters or a terminal degree) with two years of relevant work experience.

How To Apply:

The application should also include:

• a personal statement defining career goals, a plan to achieve these goals, and the anticipated impact from participating in this Fellowship Program,
• a Letter of Support from program director, faculty advisor, or Dean,
• three letters of recommendation,
• academic transcripts, diploma, and boards scores (if applicable).
