General Surgery Residency Position

Riverside University Health System / University of California, Riverside is accepting applications for a PGY-4 position to start July 1, 2020.

Prerequisites:

To be eligible for this PGY-4 position, applicants must currently be enrolled in an ACGME accredited General Surgery residency program and will have successfully completed PGY-1 through PGY-3 years of general surgery training by June 30, 2020. The three years of training must be consecutive (no gaps in between years) with at least 2 years completed in the same program. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents and have passed USMLE Step 3 to be considered. An unrestricted California Medical License must be obtained within 90 days of start date.

How To Apply:

Your application must include all of the following documents in the order listed below:

1. Current Curriculum Vitae
2. Letter of Recommendation from your current Program Director
3. Two additional letters of recommendation from faculty surgeons with whom you have worked with as a PGY-1, PGY-2 and/or PGY-3.
4. ABSITE score reports from all years of training
5. USMLE Scores (Steps I, II and III) passed on the first attempt
6. ACGME Case Logs Defined Category Report as of date of application
7. List of all previously completed rotations
8. Copies of all mid-year and year-end evaluations by Program Director (including Surgery Milestones Evaluation)
9. Documentation of ACLS, BLS, ATLS, and, if completed, FLS and FES certification
10. Medical School Transcript and Dean’s Letter
11. Medical School Diploma
12. Copy of current medical license if applicable
13. ECFMG certificate if applicable
