Transplant Hepatology Fellowship

Transplant Hepatology Fellowship

Our mission is to train the next generation of top transplant hepatologists by providing a strong clinical and research experience in both transplant and non-transplant hepatology.

We strive to prepare our trainees for a career in academic hepatology with a Transplant Hepatology Certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

The University of Miami/Jackson Health System Transplant Hepatology Fellowship Program is among the busiest in the nation, allowing exposure to a wide variety of clinical issues in transplant patients. The Miami Transplant Institute performs 120 to 140 liver transplants every year, making it one of the most prolific liver transplant programs in the world. Furthermore, we are one of the few transplant centers in the U.S. performing multivisceral transplants.
