University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics currently offers a one-year non-accredited fellowship in Body Imaging with opportunities for participation in research and teaching and a broad range of clinical activities. Fellows rotate on Body CT, Ultrasound, GI/GU Fluoroscopy and Body MRI. The latter will include three to four months of primary responsibility in Body MRI/MRA but could also include experience in musculoskeletal, cardiac, chest, and neuro. Up to an additional two months of elective time will be flexible and chosen by the candidate if staffing allows.
Body Imaging is an active service with ten staff members whose primary interest is adult body imaging, performing GI and GU fluoroscopy and contrast studies, CT, CTA, CT colonography, ultrasound, MRI and MRA, and body interventional procedures.

In keeping with ACGME/GME guidelines, applicants are required to have completed the USMLE Steps 1 and 2. Step 3 is required for the H-1B visa.
Additionally, an applicant is required to be qualified to obtain a permanent State of Iowa Medical License. The State of Iowa requires 2 years of accredited residency training in the United States in order to qualify for a Permanent Iowa Medical License.
