Andrology Fellowship

The Department of Urology at Rush University in Chicago offers a Fellowship in Andrology and Male Genital Reconstructive Urology to one candidate per year. The fellowship is designed to provide an optimum experience in both the clinical and scientific aspects of these fields. Under the guidance of Laurence A. Levine, MD, the year is devoted to patient care with clinic and operating room experience as well as opportunities to participate in clinical research. The fellow is also be expected to be involved in education and training of medical students and junior residents within the Department of Urology.

The fellowship includes clinical training in erectile dysfunction, Peyronie’s disease, male prosthetic surgery (penile and urethral), male infertility, ejaculatory disorders, urethral reconstruction, buried penis, chronic genital pain and male hypogonadism. It is expected that each fellow will become proficient in management of patients with these conditions, the provider-management skill set necessary for efficient and effective outpatient care of these patients, as well as the surgical skills needed to provide appropriate care with microsurgical and reconstructive techniques.
