Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency

Our program is a hospital-based residency located at Loyola University Medical Center, a level-one trauma center, in Maywood, Illinois, approximately seven miles west of downtown Chicago. We are a fully-accredited, four-year residency training program. During resident training, residents experience each of the surgical foundations of oral and maxillofacial surgery including: facial trauma, orthognathic, obstructive sleep apnea, pathology with reconstruction, implant, dentoalveolar, and temporomandibular joint surgeries. Residents also gain extensive experience in outpatient sedation with approximately 400 deep sedations yearly.

The Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery offers a four year post graduate residency certificate program with a goal to train residents to practice and gain competence in a broad scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery. Graduates are eligible to take the American Board of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery examination.

Applicants must complete application through the PASS program only.
