Pediatric Hospital Medicine Fellowship

Pediatric Hospital Medicine Fellowship

Since 2014, Akron Children’s Hospital has been pleased to offer a 2-year fellowship program in Pediatric Hospital Medicine (PHM). Core training in hospital medicine occurs on the four inpatient general pediatric teaching services at Akron Children’s Main Campus, the 253-bed flagship hospital of the largest pediatric healthcare provider in Northeast Ohio. Each team is comprised of senior residents, interns and medical students, with ready access to ancillary staff including case managers, social workers, dietitians, therapists and child life specialists.

A track for internal medicine-pediatrics residency program graduates (IMPHM) that includes inpatient rotations in internal medicine is also available. Training in adult hospital medicine occurs on the teaching service at Cleveland Clinic Akron General, a 532-bed teaching hospital that serves as the hub for Cleveland Clinic’s Southern Region.
