Non-ACGME Microsurgery/Complex Reconstruction Fellowship Position

UNLV School of Medicine has an exciting opportunity for a non-ACGME accredited One Year Microsurgery/Complex Reconstruction Fellowship. The fellow will gain a broad exposure to a wide spectrum of complex reconstruction and microsurgery including breast microsurgery, extremity salvage, head and neck, complex trunk, trauma, replantation, and robotics.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Assist faculty in operations, research and will be involved in the teaching of plastic surgery to residents, general surgery residents and medical students.
  • Have extensive exposure to innovative plastic surgery and will be responsible as a Junior Faculty member providing patient care, teaching medical students and residents.
  • Have excellent opportunity for basic or clinic research.

This position offers a base salary plus the opportunity for supplementing the base salary with compensated general plastic surgery call stipends, and involves weekend and night call coverage.

Prerequisites:

  • Possess an M.D. degree, D.O., or equivalent degree
  • Have successfully completed an ACGME accredited program in plastic surgery prior to employment commencing
  • Be eligible for an unrestricted Nevada medical license, malpractice insurance, and must be able to be successfully credentialed by southern Nevada medical facilities
  • Credentials must be obtained prior to the start of employment
