General Surgery Residency-Categorical Position

The UCSF Fresno General Surgery Residency Program is seeking a PGY-3 categorical General Surgery resident to begin on July 1, 2022. We are accepting applications through May 13, 2022.

Prerequisites:

Applicant must be a current PGY-2 resident in good standing, or have already successfully completed PGY-1 & PGY-2 years in an ACGME accredited General Surgery program.

Applicants should have current authorization to work in the U.S.

Only complete applications will be considered. Candidates selected for an interview will be contacted when all application materials are received.

All applicants must have completed all program graduate years in good standing in an ACGME-accredited residency program and be eligible to acquire a California medical license.

  • Current CV
  • Personal statement
  • Current ACLS/ATLS certification
  • All ABSITE scores
  • USMLE scores
  • Copy of medical school diploma and transcript
  • 3 letters of recommendation, with one being from the applicant’s most recent Program Director or Chairman (these can be sent under separate cover by the letter writers)
  • Verification of completed/pending completion of PGY-2 at an ACGME accredited program Case logs (Defined Category Report format)
  • IMG's must have valid ECFMG Certification
