Surgical Pathology Fellowship

Surgical Pathology Fellowship

The University of Chicago Department of Pathology offers a one- or two-year fellowship in surgical pathology with opportunities for both clinical and translational research. The fellowship offers training in an academic, tertiary care center receiving greater than 38,000 cases annually. The diagnostic material includes specimens from most fields of pathology with a relatively high proportion of gynecologic, bone & soft tissue, and breast cases. Large numbers of specimens are also received for consultation. This fellowship can also be combined with breast pathology. (Separate subspecialty surgical pathology fellowships are available - please see separate subspecialty pages).
