Acute Care APP Fellowship

The OhioHealth Acute Care APP Fellowship is a post-graduate program offered at Riverside Methodist Hospital and Grant Medical Center for Acute Care Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants that wish to pursue a career in a variety of acute care specialties such as critical care, trauma, cardiovascular services, and hospital medicine.

The program provides 10- 12 months of post-graduate education, personalized mentorship, and clinical experience to ensure our APPs have a successful transition into practice.

Prerequisites:

Eligible candidates are required to meet the following criteria:

  1. Graduate from an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (Acute Care NP / AGACNP) or Physician Assistant Program
  2. Obtain board certification by appropriate certifying body prior to starting program
  3. Obtain License to practice with prescriptive authority in the State of Ohio
  4. BLS/ACLS certified

How To Apply:

  • Search for job title: APP Fellow
  • Complete the online application
  • Upload a file containing:
      • Resume/CV
      • Letter of intent: One-to-two page letter that describes your career goals and explains how prior work or educational experiences have prepared you for practice in your desired acute care setting including a brief statement explaining your interest in the Fellowship and how it may help you attain your career goals.
      • Transcript from accredited NP/PA graduate program:
        • Applicants should request to have an unofficial transcript sent directly to the applicant prior to submitting the program application. Applicants should upload transcripts with the completed application and letter of intent.
        • Please do not have transcripts electronically sent directly to the OhioHealth APP Fellowship.

The application, letter of intent and unofficial transcript must be received prior to the last day of the application period in order for an application to be complete. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
