The UCSF Forensic Psychiatry Fellowship Program offers rigorous training in civil, criminal, correctional, and consultative forensic psychiatry. The goal of the program is to enable psychiatrists to understand and effectively interface with the legal system.
The program is accredited by the ACGME. Each year, the program trains two fellows at the PGY-5 level. The program is designed to facilitate forensic residents' successful completion of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology's examination for certification in forensic psychiatry.
For more information about the program, kindly visit https://psych.ucsf.edu/ucsf-fo...
Applicants must have completed an ACGME-accredited general psychiatry residency program. At the time the fellows begin the program, they must have a California medical license.
Applicants can apply using the UCSF application form or download the common application from the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law.
