Tufts University School of Medicine has an available position for Robotic MIS General Surgery Fellowship starting September 2020 to August 2021.
Our Robotic Fellowship Surgery Program is one of the highest volume centers in the United States. The one year robotic Surgery Fellowship provides extensive clinical training in all aspects of abdominal wall reconstruction, Colorectal, and Foregut Surgery.
In 2018 and 2019, the program performed over 400 robotic cases. The main focus of the fellowship is abdominal wall reconstruction as 60% of the volume and the remaining being distributed on Colorectal and Foregut Surgery procedures. We do have clinical research center and currently we have two full time funded research fellows. We have affiliation with Tufts University and UMass with possibilities for research and or clinical collaboration and or electives.
We have one fellowship position open for individuals who have completed general surgery training. The program trains 1 fellow each year. This is an amazing opportunity to work and live in Greater Boston area. Fellow expected to present at least one of the international meeting and collaborate with the research fellows. Fellows expected as well to publish at peer reviewed journals in the field of robotic surgery during their fellowship.
Applicant must be US board certified or board eligible. Applicant must be able to obtain FULL Medical License in the State of Massachusetts. We are NOT able to provide any visas unfortunately.
