Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology Fellowship

Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology Fellowship

Under the supervision and tutelage of Dr. Jenny Kim, Director of Aesthetic Surgery, Westwood, the UCLA Division of Dermatology offers a one-year ACGME-accredited Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology Fellowship.

This fellowship is certified by both the ACGME and the American College of Mohs Surgery (ACMS). The fellow divides their time between the UCLA campus and the West LA Veterans Affairs Hospital. These two campuses allow the fellow the flexibility to learn procedural dermatology in an academic university setting, while also functioning as the primary surgeon for the majority of the cases at the VA.

The Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology Fellowship focuses on three key areas: cutaneous oncologic surgery with an emphasis on Mohs surgery, cutaneous reconstructive surgery, and cutaneous cosmetic surgery. In addition to a strong emphasis on Mohs micrographic surgery, the fellow will also have extensive exposure to all aspects of procedural dermatology. The fellow gains extensive experience in laser surgery, including laser hair removal, nonablative and ablative photorejuvenation, laser tattoo removal, vascular lesions lasers, and broadband light sources.
