Transplant Fellowship

The Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Program, offers a Transplant Fellowship, accredited by the American Society of Transplantation and the American Society of Nephrology. The fellowship also fulfills UNOS requirements for designation as a Transplant Physician at UNOS accredited transplant programs.

During their year at UCLA, fellows will receive broad, "hands-on" experience and training in all clinical aspects of kidney and pancreas transplantation. They are also given the opportunity to participate in the evaluation and care of liver and heart transplant patients. Designated time is spent in pathology; histocompatibility; and at OneLegacy, the local organ procurement organization.

Prerequisites:

This fellowship is one year and is designed for trainees who have completed a standard two-year renal fellowship and are Nephrology board eligible.
