The Center for Digestive Health at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health offers a one-year fellowship opportunity for concentrated experience in endoscopy research, focusing on academic output/publication. The fellowship provides dedicated time to help construct, maintain, and use robust databases for the study of endoscopic topics, to apply outcomes data to provide a foundation for improving quality of patient care, and to focus on retrospective and prospective chart review studies, complementing ongoing clinical research.
Supervision and mentoring will be provided by Rajesh Krishnamoorthi, MD, Fellowship Director, and other faculty members who are part of the Center for Digestive Health care team and are experts in the treatment and research of digestive disease.

Applicants to the Endoscopy Research Fellowship must have an MD degree or equivalent. Non-native speakers of English must take and submit TOEFL scores that meet minimum requirements.
International applicants must have an existing visa. Applicants with J1 visa status are ineligible for the Endoscopy Research Fellowship. The ideal candidate will be an energetic self-starter who enjoys working with mentoring supervision and has a concentrated focus on productivity resulting in specific outcomes data, research publications in peer-reviewed journals and research presentations at national or international professional meetings.
